As you know we have been serving full-time on Mercy Ships since July 2025. We spent a year in Sierra Leone, and are now in Ghana. It is with grateful hearts that we update you on our journey of hope and healing. We will be ending our volunteer commitment on October 31, 2026, and heading home to help care for our families, who are undergoing some challenging health issues.
This mission has changed our lives and we feel immensely blessed that we had the opportunity to serve alongside so many amazing people. We have made new friends, who we now call family, and have forged deep bonds with the lovely people of Sierre Leone and Ghana. Your generous support has been humbling and heartwarming, and we thank you all so much, not just for the financial support you have provided, but also for your prayers.
By sponsoring us as Mercy Ship volunteer crew members, you became a valued partner — a Crewmate! As a Crewmate, you helped make a lasting impact on the people of Africa. Your generous support helped transform lives through surgical intervention (almost 3,000 surgeries!) medical capacity building, and community development.
“The LORD bless you and keep you; the LORD make his face shine upon you and be gracious to you; the LORD lift up his countenance upon you and give you peace.” Numbers 6:24-26
