We actually stayed in Yakima two days longer than expected. We were moved out of our house, had it professionally cleaned, and turned the keys over to a property management company on Friday. Then we stayed two nights in a local hotel.
Why?
We REALLY wanted to say our last farewell at church.
We have been attending Stone Church for about two years. It has quickly become our larger family. We have seen our faith deepen and tight bonds develop with other members. We truly look forward to being there every week. And if it wasn’t for Stone Church (and the “arrows out” philosophy) we wouldn’t even know what Mercy Ships is.
So, Sunday was a fantastic chance to bid our church family farewell. It was incredible. At the end of each service, Pastor Jeff called us up with him and the whole church prayed for us and our mission. It was powerful and the absolute best way to start this new journey.
Our second season is now underway!
